The company's roots can be dated back to 1947 with the establishment of Tokyo Eiyou Shokuhin (東京栄養食品) which was only a tofu seller at that time.
In 1965 the company was incorporated and renamed to Satomi (株式会社さとみ). At the same time an amusement branch was established that dealt with claw cranes and radio controlled devices.
