Kimura Hidetoshi was a music producer. He was a native of Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido Prefecture, who graduated from Keio Senior High School and later from the Faculty of Economics at Keio University. He ed Nippon Columbia in 1963. In 1992, he became the president of Forte Music Entertainment (フォルテミュージックエンタテインメント), a company in the Nippon Columbia group; however, he later left due to disagreements with Nippon Columbia's president. On 20 July 1993, he established Xebec Music Publishing (ジーベック音楽出版), a music publisher located in Setagaya, Tokyo, and became the company's representative director.

He was married to marimba player Abe Keiko. Their daughter is singer-songwriter and marimba player Kimura Kyouko (木村恭子), who performs under the name Kiya Kyouko (木屋響子).
