The good:
Plenty of well animated mecha battles. Story is potentially good too but this screams a sequel.
The bad:
Most of the characters from Athens side (which employs child soldiers btw and still call Krisna barbarians) make sense and act according to the good of their country, however on Krisna side the actions some characters take are just ridiculous that leave you with your mouth open.
Be at war and enemies about to kill your allies? Start deathmatch with your ally that just ran his mouth a little rather than go help, yeah makes sense right?

A young man named Zess, the younger brother of the Secretary of War of the Athens Commonwealth.
Years later, Rygart is reunited with Hodr and Sigyn where he learns the Athens Commonwealth has begun an invasion of Krisna. Rygart is also shocked to learn that Zess is leading one of the strike forces. While at the capital, Rygart discovers that he has the ability to pilot a recently found ancient Golem which cannot be piloted by magic s. Despite its ancient origins, the Golem possesses capabilities and systems far more advanced than the current Golems, and could be key to turning the tide of battle. While hesitant at first, Rygart soon gets involved in the war between Krisna and Athens, in an attempt to save Hodr, Sigyn, and Zess.

Really good anime that would be a must see if not for my strong desire for a sequel, which has tey to come into existence.

For those that didn't watch the movies a few years ago, this is a definite must watch; however, for those that already watched the movies, this TV series is such a let down, b/c this is virtually a carbon copy of the movies besides a few extra scenes sprinkled in for the last few episodes and instead of getting a continuation of where the movies left off, we're given everything over again... a major bummer.

They remade the movie series into a 12 episode series following the same story. I think they should have made this a 24 episode series fully following the manga. Would have been much better.
But overall still a very good anime, just felt a little rushed or some parts missing at certain episodes if you have read the manga.
