Anime: Gosenzosama Banbanzai! 43c5q

I would say this one appeals more to the intelligence than the sense of aesthetic.
An interesting meditation on youth and beginning of adult life, and family bonds delivered with goofy comedy and dumb but quite likeable characters.

Chara design is a bit odd, with shapes reminding dolls or marionettes (an echo to how men are pulled by the strings of their life?). I am guessing western audience will loose in translation quite a lot of references as I am guessing this is meant as a parody of japanese family drama stories. 4th wall is broken on a regular basic as this anime is not interested in delivering a movie like experience but more so a theater experience. First one or two episode can be hit or miss, but I would recommend sticking until the end.

I like the mother character. I like Maroko design : some artwork of her are matching pretty well with my sense of aesthetics.
Another deep work from Mamoru Oshii san and the team. Recommended for everybody.

Another Mamoru Oshi unique vision of life, family and time travelling. Brillant and unsual story, approche, setting and character closer to experimental theater and art film than to traditional anime. Not as memorable as Ghost in the shell or Angel Egg but still very recommended if you're looking for a significative intelligent entertaiment.

Way underrated. Full of brilliantly written dialog and laugh out funny.
